You can stop asking now — not that we minded. As of this very second, we've enabled email alerts for various forms of Trib content; if you click here and sign up for the type of content you want (just stories, just blog posts, or everything) and the interval at which you want to receive it (6 a.m., noon, 6 p.m, or immediately; that is, every time we publish something), we'll push you the latest digest of our multi-platform handiwork. Not to be picky, but is there a way to have a "Breaking News Alerts" option? I read all the stories and blog posts through my RSS but would like to know immediately when something breaking happens.

FYI, something to look out for: AOL's been (seemingly automatically) de-subscribing Grits email subscribers who sign up with an AOL email, and it's beginning to piss me off. So far, we've found no solution besides having them subscribe using a different email account.
I use the FeedBlitz subscription service; perhaps Brandon's program will get around that problem. If so, let me know how!
