Texas Animal Protection Ranking Improves

Texas moved up in the latest state rankings released by the Humane Society of the United States in its third annual report on state animal protection laws.

The animal rights group ranks states based on cruelty codes, protection standards, and animal research and farm animal policies. Texas jumped to the 25th spot, up from 36th last year.
