But the TEA Party is against invasive government?

one trick pony....

Surprised he hasn't filed a bill trying to ban abortion outright. I'm also more than a little annoyed that they're taking the special session as the opportunity to push more new legislation than finish what was left to do during the regular session.

Can we all we got what we paid for? Next time, texans, pay attention to who you're voting for.
Claudia Corum via Texas Tribune on Facebook
@Kathy - or not voting for as the case may be for all those who sat out the last election.

Who voted for this turkey?!?

I think we need a bill that would put new limits on legislators that introduce groan inducing bills.
This guy is wasting time, money, and oxygen.
Joanne Richards
Please spell Representative Naishtat's name correctly.

The Taxed Enough Already (TEA) Party is against increased government taxes and increased government spending. The Constitution Party and the Libertarian Party are for smaller government as a whole.

Sometimes I can't help but literally groan when I think about how much smarter, better and right Bill White is than Perry.

Patrick is a Limbaugh/Glenn Beck style radio host in Houston and is in a really red district anyway. But wrap the Ryan budget and the Perry/Legislative budget and cuts to public education and health around his neck like a rubber chicken, and he can go down.

What is this guy's deal??
Bambi Clark via Texas Tribune on Facebook
Thomas I live in his district and pray your prediction is accurate.

Patrick - when you are able to give birth, maybe you get a say. Until that happens, just zip it.
Cynthia Casper Robertson via Texas Tribune on Facebook
Dan Patrick is an ass. He should have never given up his day job as a sports reporter at a Houston TV station.
Mary Lynn VanZandt Neill via Texas Tribune on Facebook
Why don't they just do the D&C on the floor of the Lege?
Mary Lee via Texas Tribune on Facebook
I watched the regular session with great interest. I don't think I want to watch the special - it will get too gory...

Failed to mention that AGAIN, retired teachers are left out..since 1999
and will come up 2013 it will be 14 years since Rick has let us have our
money.. 16th largest Pension Plan in the world..$ 108. BILLION in
till.. lost money in Enron , etc.. regained some of that.. this year
paid the big boys $ 8.7 million for job well done.. and zip for a30
year job well done... the ones that really suffer is the older retired
rural teachers.. the newer urban retired teachers are getting a
better check.. not getting rich but over $15,000 more than the
elderly retirees..Dell or Shell would have someone in Huntsville
treating retirees this way..

Patrick is a Glenn Beck wannabe!
Bambi Clark via Texas Tribune on Facebook
@Cynthia .... Patrick was fired from his sports caster job. Wish we could fire him from this one!
