• Changing Tack, Business Leaders Now Favor Tweaks to Testing System: "Business leaders said Wednesday that they would support modifications to the new student assessment system implemented this spring — and put forth a plan that provides multiple pathways to high school graduation."

The people should pay closer attention to who they are electing if they want to make a difference. They could have put a libertarian in office instead of him.

"Asked if House members were being asked to sign pledge cards for him, Straus said he has never collected pledge cards. After a pause, he added, “Pledge cards, I assume, exist.”....Good Grief, Man. What planet where you on when the Pledge Card Fight was going down in Austin at the beginning of the 82rd session. LOL

Straus held every bill last session that was created to block the promotion of illegal immigration. How could we ever trust him again when he ignores the will of the citizens in favor of political paybacks to big business and their hunger for slave labor, while we the voters foot the costs and subsidize their presence here in Texas. We are the laughing stock of the country. Here we are on the border and people from other states can't understand why Texas is doing nothing while other states have passed bills to help stop illegal immigration. Can't pass a bill if it never gets to the floor...thanks to Straus.

Joe you and Senator Kevin Eltife funded Chris Paddie HD9 along with the Texas Trial Lawyer's Association and Public School teachers political action committees. Paddie told TTT that 90% of Cass,Marion,Harrison,Panola,Shelby and Sabine could not name you.
