We have not been paying attention and we are paying for this error every day. How many of the people on this site even know what is going on in this country that will directly affect us all to the day we die?
A Bill is being passed around in Congress... under the radar.
Rep. Walter Jones (R-NC) introduced H.R. 3600, “To restore the Free Speech and First Amendment rights of churches and exempt organizations by repealing the 1954 Johnson Amendment.”
The Johnson amendment, passed by Congress in 1954, is the law that prohibits religions and churches from meddling in our secular government.
The issue, houses of worship cannot both endorse or oppose a particular political candidate and receive a tax exemption from the government.
Republicans are pushing religion down our throats. They hate anything and everything. We should all refrain from voting for Republicans for a few years to see if we can break the backs of all these extremists. Republicans should know that we cannot do this to our country. They know that they to can fall victim to these dark forces.
Maybe a few elections lost to the point of humiliation, will discourage them.

I supported Ted Cruz 100% during the primary and runoff and I am still supporting him for the general. However, I will not support Mitt Romney, ever. There's already a liberal in the White House.

Romney can't spend enough campaign cash in Texas to make me happy. I wouldn't have expected him to spend a dime here. But have at it, Mittens.

Romney & Cruz are both on a crazy train. My 2012 Vote is for Obama & Sadler! Working HARD to VOTE Texas BLUE!

Willard has a gift for choosing people to support him that aren't really any help like Donald Trump, the other guy who likes to fire people. Even the Republicans say the Cruz victory will turn Texas blue in 4 years. And to the Trib, the upcoming political star is Julian Castro not Cruz.

My vote will be going to the only party that has candidates TRULY against big govt, more wars and who support liberty and freedom regardless of who you are. VOTE LIBERTARIAN.
Gary Johnson - President
John Jay Myers - Senate

Jason, I like Myers but I'm going with Cruz for Senate. Most likely Johnson will be my protest vote for Prez though. There's no way I want it on my conscious that I helped in the destruction of this country by supporting Obama/Romney.

Ted Cruz worked for GWB in the White House in charge of domestic policy, you know the policy that led to the bailouts and stimulus. He is an insider dressed up by the establishment as an outsider. What bank benefited the most from the bailouts? Goldman Sachs (via AIG), who is Cruz married to? The Vice President of Goldman Sachs.
He puts on a real good show, but Ted Cruz is not about freedom.

Vote the same in, you get the same out. Cruz was better than Dewhurst, but still the lesser of two evils which is not a choice. Myers offers a choice. Something different. Something real.
