Texans again face the possibility of having to vote two separate times this spring in the state's primary elections.
Federal redistricting judges in San Antonio said Monday that they are "giving serious consideration" to splitting the state's April 3 primary into two elections if the parties at odds over the state's interim maps can't come to an agreement by Feb. 6.

Thanks to Greg Abbott for completely screwing up redistricting with his experiment in attempting to bypass the Department of Justice. Thanks to the Texas Legislature for their overreach. We badly need to take redistricting from the Legislature and put it in the hands of a bipartisan redistricting committee. No legislator should expect to have a "safe" district. This whole system is what has created the partisan gridlock nightmare that is destroying this country.
