The U.S. Supreme Court has upheld a key provision of Arizona’s controversial immigration law that requires police officers to verify the legal status of people they stop or arrest. But it struck down much of the rest of the bill, including a measure that would have make it a crime for unauthorized immigrants to work.

The states cannot legally regulate immigration as that is an exclusive authority of the federal government!! We knew it all along and stood behind that confidently although we endured criticism from both sides of the political spectrum.

SB 1070 was not about "border security" as it had nothing to do with protecting the border. It was merely a cleverly disguised effort to legalize the harassment of Latinos in America! It was promulgated by the Tanton Network for that explicit purpose. Why? Because the Tanton Network is a peculiar association of white supremacists and radical environmentalists who see anyone other than northern European whites as pollution. They enacted this effort as part of their bigoted population control agenda. Many of their leaders including John Tanton are from Planned Parenthood and yet they were writing immigration policy for the Republicans!

Texas reds just peed themselves with excitement. Leg loves to imitate AZ. However, I doubt they'll want to pay for extra public servants to impose the "law".

The title of your article represents an error. None of the provisions of SB 1070 were "upheld" rather the "key" provisions were, in fact, struck down and one remaining provision has been sent back to the 9th circuit court for "clarification." That is not tantamount to being "upheld." Your journalistic integrity is challenged here. Be more correct please.

This also wasn't the key provision. This was a smack down by SCOTUS.
