Looking Back at Texas' Republican Decade
It was a gradual takeover, with the minority party trending upward for several years: George Bush was elected governor in 1994, Republicans took over the state Senate in 1997, and by 2001 the party was just four seats away from taking a majority in the House. The resulting 2001 legislative redistricting maps would cement the state’s shift from blue to red.

With the recent spate of federal fixes to voting complaints across the nation, Texas will soon realize the Hispanic/Latino effect as more and more vote in Texas! Doncha just love it? Doncha just love the new radical fringe control of your state's government? If you don't - make a change and vote straight Democratic ticket in November. I for one will not give my votes credability to the current radicals in charge. Oust the career politicians and TEA fringe in Austin!
