Supreme Court Won't Reinstate Abortion Sonogram Law
The U.S. Supreme Court today refused to let Texas enforce its new abortion sonogram law while the measure is under appeal, following a similar ruling from a federal appeals court on Wednesday.
The abortion sonogram law, which forces women to have a sonogram and hear a description of the fetus before terminating a pregnancy, was deemed unconstitutional by an Austin district judge in August, who blocked several of its key provisions.
This leaves state leaders little legal recourse to pursue while the law makes its way through the appeals system. The measure's opponents say that's as it ...

"You can have your legal rights, but first, we get to make you feel as badly as possible about it."
The Supreme Court has underwhelmed me lately, but at least they got this legalization of psychological torture slapped down.
Until the fundamentalists stop trying to shove their beliefs down everyone's throats, YELL AT THEM:
KEEP YOUR RELIGION OUT OF MY GOVERNMENT!
KEEP YOUR RELIGION OUT OF MY DOCTOR'S OFFICE!
KEEP YOUR RELIGION OUT OF MY UTERUS!
You are not a 2nd class citizen, DON'T LET THEM TREAT YOU LIKE YOU ARE.

The US Supreme Court drop kicked this Terrifying Errant Activist(TEA) party issue into the void as the Tragic Erratic Activist(TEA) party continues to shove their religious beliefs down onto us. I do not go to their church and if I remember right this Treasonous Erring Anarchist(TEA) party complains that the government should stay out of our lives! The government should stay out of our lives and quit making little girls the the HPV vaccine just because they say so! This Troubling Economic Antagonist(TEA) party does not want the government to protect us from the excesses of Wall Street or Big Banks! The Troubled Economic Antagonist(TEA) party are fighting the Sarbanes-Oxley act of 2002 and the Frank-Dodd Act because these two acts provide guidelines and restrictions put into place resulting from the recession of 2007-2008! There were major corporate and accounting scandals like Enron and Worldcom which cost investors billions. The Frank-Dodd Act provided a sweeping overhaul of America's financial regulatory system to consolidate agencies, regulate financial markets, implement consumer protection, provide financial crisis tools for the FDIC and improving accounting processes and tightening credit rating regulations. Congratulations to the Supreme Court this time!

Whatever happened to the separation of church and state? Our politicians need to concentrate their efforts on the wars and the economy. Pregnancy is personal and should remain so. When or if to have a child affects no one but the woman and her partner. Personal health information is protected and the treatment of pregnancy should be no different from the treatment of any other medical issue. If Medicaid pays for viagra and penile implants so men can have active sex lives, there is no reason for contraception and abortion to be excluded from coverage. With so much poverty, child abuse and crime in this country, we don't need any barriers to make every child a wanted child.
