Planned Parenthood vs. Susan G. Komen — the political debate with roots in Texas — has sparked a furious public outcry.
Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the Dallas-based breast cancer prevention group, on Thursday faced a wave of intense national criticism for its decision to drop its financial support of Planned Parenthood — a move that will block the family-planning organization from receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars in grants, primarily for breast exams.

Thanks for the excellent article. While the right wing zealots would like you to quietly let this story die, it is clear that Komen has decided to wade into the national political arena, throwing their weight behind the lies and misrepresentations the neo-fascist err, neo-cons have been spewing in an effort to inflame their base. Too bad, Komen was a big tent that provided a place where right and left, democrat and gop could come together to fight breast cancer. Komen's blatant partisanship and disingenuous reason as to why they dropped their support was essentially a lie designed to provide cover for a non-profit deciding to play politics against the interests of many of it's supporters. So much for fiduciary responsibility of that Board.
