I completely understand why aids and consumers switched. However, i can see real concern of being paid and waiting for authorization by Texas Medicaid. I have switched providers before due to the mishandling of my sons medical food, however for the same exact services (medical food!) he was denied because he wasn't "cost effective". Much of this due to the reps increasing the cost of the food to the point home health agencies couldn't afford it! There's no cap on what these reps can increase to. And this is medical food for a little boy who has disabilities and is ONLY g-tube fed with ONLY this one type of medical food. It was a huge mess for months. I hope it goes alright for these families and their aids.

Under Obamacare rates will be reduced further and 5 million people added, but do not worry it is free after all. If you are really sick and close to death the President has already said he will make sure " you are comfortable." Those of us who work and pay for our insurance will continue to do so and subsidize as best we can , until we too are priced out of the market and are forced into relying on Obamacare ourselves.
The " savings" the President talks about as regards Medicare is like me paying Co-Serve half of my electric bill and saying I have cut back and found " savings" in my electrical usage. The same thing WILL happen across the board , and you are already seeing it now.
