Doggett, Carter React to State of the Union
Last night, President Barack Obama delivered his first State of the Union address. Because Texas is still a state in that union — sorry, secessionists — its U.S. House members were in attendance. Among them were Lloyd Doggett, D-Austin, and John Carter, R-Round Rock, who listened to the same speech but, in interviews with the Tribune, came away with markedly different impressions. In other words, Carter wants to kill reform and keep the status quo for the wealth. Meanwhile, Rs will continue to promote wedge to get the avg. Texan to beat up on each other. Why do we continue to fall for this you know what? It's time for do nothing John Carter to be put out to pasture come the next election.
