Day 3: Supreme Court Looks at Affordable Care Act Case

This week, the U.S. Supreme Court is considering a lawsuit brought against the federal government by Texas and 25 other states that questions the constitutionality of several key aspects of the 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The Texas Tribune and KTRK-TV in Houston have partnered to cover these proceedings by showing you how the law has already affected some residents and by curating content that explains what's at stake for nearly 6 million Texans who remain uninsured.
Tuesday proved to be a pivotal day for the Affordable Care Act, as the individual mandate aspect of the ...

As your articles have explained, there are a number of aspects to the Affordable Care Act besides the individual mandate that are at issue in this case. I have a loved one with a preexisting medical condition. We checked into the Texas high risk insurance program - they had higher premiums for women, the cost was 200 percent over market rate so that the policy would cost nearly $1,000 a month with high deductibles. Few Texans are enrolled in this program due to the high cost, high deductibles, and other limitations. The preexisting insurance program offered through cost about $300 a month, the deductibles are quite reasonable, and it is administered in Texas by GEHA, which administers the federal employee health care programs. Thousands of Texans are enrolled in this program, and rely on it to live better lives because they have health insurance. If Texas succeeds in its challenge to the entire Act, this beneficial program will be gone.

RS-Texas and 25 other states. You have not read the whole mandate, and you cannot because it is no longer available. You can go to whitehouse.gov and see parts of it. I have had to live without insurance and it is beyond frightening, but this is not in anyway a good solution.

We pay $1100 a month with a high deductible for my wife and the state plan seemingly can raise rates at will. The GOP has come up with no plan to insure people with pre-existing conditions and, as we see here, they are actually cutting coverage for women. People that oppose universal healthcare don't realize, or just don't care, that this is the most cost-effective method for getting care for everyone. When people can't afford preventative or care for minor conditions they end up in emergency rooms. The idiots who state they don't want to pay for other people's care are already doing so.

Obama Care Highlighted by Page Number OBAMACARE = HELL- CARE
Judge Kithil of Marble Falls , TX - HB3200 highlighted pages most egregious
Please read this........ especially the reference to pages 58 & 59
JUDGE KITHIL wrote:
** Page 50/section 152: The bill will provide insurance to all non-U.S. residents, even if they are here illegally.
** Page 58 and 59: The government will have real-time access to an individual's bank account and will have the authority to make electronic fund transfers from those accounts.
** Page 65/section 164: The plan will be subsidized (by the government) for all union members, union retirees and for community organizations (such as the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now - ACORN).
** Page 203/line 14-15: The tax imposed under this section will not be treated as a tax.(How could anybody in their right mind come up with that?)
** Page 241 and 253: Doctors will all be paid the same regardless of specialty, and the government will set all doctors' fees.
** Page 272. section 1145: Cancer hospital will ration care according to the patient's age.
** Page 317 and 321: The government will impose a prohibition on hospital expansion; however, communities may petition for an exception.
** Page 425, line 4-12: The government mandates advance-care planning consultations. Those on Social Security will be required to attend an "end-of-life planning" seminar every five years.(Death counseling..)
** Page 429, line 13-25: The government will specify which doctors can write an end-of-life order.
HAD ENOUGH???? Judge Kithil then goes on:
"Finally, it is specifically stated that this bill will not apply to members of Congress. Members of Congress are already exempt from the Social Security system, and have a well-funded private plan that covers their retirement needs. If they were on our Social Security plan, I believe they would find a very quick 'fix' to make the plan financially sound for their future."

All of the above should give you the point blank ammo you need to support your opposition to Obamacare.
