Perry picks Dr. Ronald DePinho to be M.D. Anderson's new president and right away DePinho's wife gets $8 million of our tax dollars. Tell me Perry isn't the kingpin of crony pay-to-play politics. I just hope he ends up in jail like Tom DeLay and former Lousisiana. Gov. Edwin Edwards.

jpt51, Dr DePinho was hired by the UT System Board of Regents after a national search. Part of the coup of his hiring is that MD Anderson got his very talented spouse to move down her and be a part of this effort. She doesn't get the money, cancer research does.
This one really isn't cronyism, it is research and the war against cancer. The leadership of this institute is high cotton. This is a good thing for Texas and a really bad thing for cancer.
