controlled burns can be done safely and are beneficial to the plant and animals....ask any old farmer. The fires occur naturally but become a huge problem when population starts moving too close. Controlled burns will make these area safer. Ask any old farmer. I was raised on a dairy farm a long, long time age. the kids learned to burn off areas safely. Im sure the practice is probably illegal now...but that doesnt mean it isnt beneficial.
