EPA Withdraws Order Against Natural Gas Driller
The Environmental Protection Agency has withdrawn an administrative order that charged Range Resources, a Fort Worth-based natural gas driller, with contaminating water wells.
The EPA’s decision settles the 15-month-long conflict between the federal agency and Range, which had been cleared of the charges last year by the Texas Railroad Commission. Bull hockey- these people got a compromise so that testing could continue- Typical that the statements made by TRRC officials would be stated in a "bully" like manner as if to taunt the EPA. Further more it's not just ground water but air quality that is at stake- look at what drilling does to the landscape- 32°12'42.96"N 102°35'29.22"W is this what we continue to want for the future of Texas wildlife and when do we stop(?) We don't need more fossil fuel- that's enough! Kingofallclergy Ed

Range Resources can go frack itself.

Range has been offering this exact testing program since the outset - the zealots at EPA Region 6 just took 2 years to realize they had no case here and were finally forced to admit the obvious. That Al Armendariz was ever appointed to his position is an absolutely travesty. That he remains employed by the Obama Administration only serves as a stark reminder of the radical nature of this presidency.
Huge win for the Texas Railroad Commission which, unlike EPA, always relies on sound science rather than pure political considerations when making its findings in matters like this.

You spelled "Frac" wrong. No "k" in "fracture stimulation".

Atech - You sound like you have seen this kind of "bullying" before. It is sad that these corporations (companies) get away with these sort of crimes!

They're attacking people that write about Range, too. The former Dish, TX mayor gets threats from them:
