Texas Smart Meter Hearing Draws Impassioned Testimony
A Texas Senate committee heard sometimes emotional testimony Tuesday about smart electric meter installations, as opponents of the installations argued that their rights had been violated.
“Every consumer should be given a choice and not an ultimatum,” Dallas resident Pam Colquitt told the Senate Business and Commerce Committee. She said she denied representatives of Oncor, the local utility company, the right to access her property, but they installed them a few weeks later anyway. I'll bet these "Smart meters" are not smart at all and in fact no proof that they are better has been submitted. It's just like when you call the governor's office and when put on hold you heaqr Perry go off on Washington DC, block grants, Obama and all kinds of other BS. The Governor's office has a phone system put in and funded by taxpayer's money. The only thing I swant to hear is MUSAK and not political spiel.

Free info here! All you have to do is put tin foil (like a boot) over glass meter and require the power Co. to come read your meter in person ,it also cuts back the EMF (electro magnetic frequency )

Let me get this straight, "Cost savings, including elimination of the need for meter readers, justify the change from analog meters to digital ones, utilities argue". Seems to me the utilities should be deducting $2 - $3.50
per month from rate payers bills instead of ripping them off. The surcharge is just extra profit for the utilities.

Ok here is another tid bit of news,If your power goes out ,they (The Power Co. )is suppose to know at the minute there is a power outage, well, No .When power went out here in our part of town,(TNP) had now idea it went out until I called and informed them, hmmmm,I guess I'm smarter than the average Smart Meter. And uh Gerald ,Read your terms of service and residential electric service agreement it says Quote,"You give us the right to use your information that WE think we will need or find helpful to provide the best possible service,BLA BLA BLA ECT........AND JUST THINK IF A THIN PIECE OF ALUMINUM FOIL CAN INTERFERE WITH THE SIGNAL ,WHAT ELSE CAN,CAN YOU SAY ,RAIN,COLD TEMPS,FOG ,HUMIDITY
Digital signals are point to point ,analog doesn't, and yes finally they will know when you use your power you purchase ,I did watch the video and it was the disinformation propaganda ,
