Texas Passes Bills Promoting Energy Efficiency

Environmentalists lost several battles this legislative session — there will be no statewide solar rebates, and no overhaul for the Texas Railroad Commission. But one bright spot, they say, is energy efficiency.

Doesn't Texas also rate poorly for literacy, quality of education, percentage of population below poverty level, recycling programs, air quality... I am not surprised about energy efficiency...

Jack - the issue with churches is that they don't register profits, so it's hard to take proper advantage of tax incentives, which are how governments often encourage efficiency & solar.

Yeah,and "Don't Mess With Texas" was/is popular for a reason as well.We obviously needed it! Ditto the energy incentives and impetus to be active and not lazy!
