SBOE Removes Thomas Jefferson, Blames Media
After public outrage about the State Board of Education's removal of Thomas Jefferson from a list of influential philosophers, a clearly irritated board has released a statement complaining of "erroneous" media reports and detailing other references to Jefferson in the social studies standards.

Even just removing Jefferson from the list of influential thinkers is an historical faux pas, leaving texas student with a view of history that decidedly demotes the influence of the founding fathers in influencing the world affairs of the day. I'd like to know that the texas board has against the founding fathers anyway.
