Next fall, UTSA will spend millions to field a football team it hopes will someday compete with cross-state rivals like the University of Texas, Texas Tech and Texas A&M. But the plan goes far beyond athletics. LMAO at both UTSA wanting to get "Tier One" status and for fielding a D-1 football team. The school still basically admits anyone who can breath and sign their name on the dotted line; they have raised virtually nothing to support their academic programs, and now they are trying to support a money-sucking football program?
It's still primarily a commuter school, people in San Antonio couldn't care less about the existing football programs there, and this is just a huge waste of time and money that could be better spent bolstering the school's crummy academics.
I guarantee you there will be outraged comments coming from a group of about five vocal UTSA supporters who make Apple fanboys look mild in comparison.
