Branch: "No Way" to Avoid Higher Ed Cuts
As state leaders grapple with a budget shortfall that could be as high as $27 billion, state Rep. Dan Branch, R-Dallas, who chaired the House Higher Education Committee in 2009, offers up some possible cuts to higher education.

Good to know that TAMU-Kingsland is the model for the future of Texas higher ed. Far too much time and resources have been spent building the University of Texas and A&M into nationally-ranked research universities (8th & 13th among publics, respectively).
