On the Records: Texas a Migration Hot Spot
Call it a modern day Ellis Island: More people are moving to Texas than to every other state but Florida, according to a report on migration released today by the Empire Center, a New York policy research project. The study uses 2010 Census data coupled with state historical data to trace back population changes in New York caused by migration over the last 50 years. It also includes data on every other state, which we’ve visualized below.

I don't know that anyone will be disappointed and if they are, they can leave. As can anyone who doesn't like our state. We are better to have those that don't like here gone anyway...makes it a much nicer place for the rest of us that stay.

Migration from other states plus illegal immigration from Mexico, is creating a negative impact in our communities, we do not have the infrastructure to support this invasion of people. Our schools and social services will need extra money to support this migration and the Texas taxpayers will be request to pay for the expenses of this increase in population in Texas
