Travis County Looks at Possible Norwood Link in Murder
The Travis County district attorney’s office is discussing whether to review a 1985 murder case in connection with Mark Norwood, raising new questions about whether another innocent man could be in prison for a murder linked to the former handyman and carpet layer.
Dennis Davis, a former Austin recording studio owner, was convicted last year of murdering his ex-girlfriend Natalie Antonetti in 1985. But the manner in which Antonetti was murdered is eerily similar to the two killings with which Norwood has already been connected.

It is interesting to note the difference in responses of Williamson County District Attorney's office and that of Travis County. Travis County, despite having a conviction in this matter, has preemptively set this case review in motion in an effort to ensure justice has been done. Williamson County, through two District Attorney's offices have systematically lied, cover up, and stood an an impediment to justice. So much for Willliamson County's "tough on crime" reputation. It only hold true if your poor and unable to defend yourself.

I shudder to think how many "honest mistakes" may have cost innocent people their lives. Not so much an indictment of the legal and judicial systems - they are after all run by humans - but of the continued used of the death penalty.

And I commend Rosemary Lehmberg for being more concerned about justice than procedure.

I've noticed the similarities in these 3 cases since all this came to light last fall. It defies reason to think Norwood suddenly stopped (allegedly) killing on January 13, 1988 and became a choir boy. I continue to urge a review not only of all cold case files in any area Norwood lived since, but also a critical look at ANY case that fits these patterns in the time frame Norwood might have been in the area.. It is our duty to make sure there are no more Mike Mortons sitting in prison on wrongful convictions.
