Another bad decision. What part about being an adult at 18 does the court not understand? So we think 18 year olds are mature enough to march off to war, but not purchase a handgun or drink alcohol? This another sorry example on how Americans have no sense of freedom or liberty.

Actually I have my doubts about 21. How about mandatory training for first time gun buyers? Of course that would be a sane solution which obviously means the pro-death NRA is against it.

A few facts that really put this dog and pony show into perspective ...In Texas handgun ownership is perfect legal for anyone under 21. The sale of a handgun between a licensed dealer (gun shop required to do a background check, and legally required to keep records . The sale between individuals is not regulated and perfectly legal. No background check orrecords required. This means yes your sons and daughters can legally meet someone from the internet and buy handguns . Now get this . . The sale of long guns is ok under 21 . That means yes the person under 21 can waltz into a gun shop and buy scary evil ar15s and ak47s

My point is regulating the sale of transfer at a gun shop in a state where private transfer is legal is a moot law . Ownership of handguns and long guns in Texas is legal
