The Water Supply Cost Savings Act, designed to reduce costs for supplying drinking water to rural communities, has been refiled in the U.S. House by Rep. Marlin Stutzman, R-Ind. HR 1160 would help close a $64 million gap in water infrastructure for communities of fewer than 3,300 residents by providing resources for alternative water supplies, including well systems.
