Members of the Texas American Federation of Teachers — along with other advocates for public education reform in the state — crowded the steps of the Texas Capitol to demand equitable, adequate school funding, teacher pay and a decrease in high-stakes testing. The front is anything but united, however, with conservative support for school choice countering the agenda of groups like the Texas AFT. (San Angelo Standard-Times)
