No law requires it, but Gov. Rick Perry has voluntarily disclosed his federal tax returns going back to at least 1987 and up through 2010. Perry's best year financially was 2007, when he passed $1 million in income thanks to a profit of more than $800,000 from the sale of a valuable tract of land on the shores of Lake LBJ. Perry makes $150,000 in annual salary as governor of Texas.
