Prior to that, she worked at the New York Post, where she covered the 2008 presidential election, as well as state, city and congressional races. Haberman also worked at the New York Daily News, where she focused on the rebuilding around the World Trade Center in the aftermath of 9/11.

Hendrik Hertzberg is a senior editor and staff writer at The New Yorker, where he frequently writes the Comment in "The Talk of the Town."
