Texas Senate District 1 covers the northeast corner of the state on the Arkansas and Louisiana borders. It includes Texarkana, Longview and Tyler and covers Bowie, Camp, Cass, Franklin, Gregg, Harrison, Lamar, Marion, Morris, Panola, Red River, Rusk, Smith (part), Titus, Upshur and Wood counties.
