Representative Terri Hodge is a retired governmental relations manager for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company who was first elected in 1996 to represent HD-100.
She serves on the Criminal Jurisprudence and Corrections Committee.
Hodge has been on a variety of boards in Dallas community organizations, including the Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce, the League of Women voters and the Dallas Alliance. She worked in different capacities for the Democratic Party, and in 1988 and 1992, she served as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention. Hodge has won many community award including the Yellow Rose of Texas Award and the Outstanding Texan Award.
She was born in Dallas, Texas. She attended J.W. Ray Elementary School, St. Peters Academy, Fannie C. Harris Middle School, Booker T. Washington High School and graduated from David Starr Jordan High School in Los Angeles, California.
While employed with Southwestern Bell, she held numerous non-management and management positions before retiring in 1991 as an External Affairs/Governmental Relations Manager.
Hodge is a single parent and has an older son.
