Lloyd Doggett represents the 25th District of Texas. He was first elected in 1994.

He is a member of the House Budget Committee and a senior member of the House Ways and Means Committee.

His honors include a 2008 “Legislative Achievement Award” from AARP and a 2006 “Environmental Champion Award” from the Texas League of Conservation Voters.

Doggett is a founder and co-chair of the House Information Technology Roundtable.

Doggett served in the Texas Senate for 11 years. In 1988, he was elected as a Justice to the Texas Supreme Court.

Doggett earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law.

Doggett is married with two children. He has two grandchildren.
