Representative John C. Otto was first elected to represent HD-18 in 2005.

He currently sits on the Appropriations and Ways and Means Committees and has held previous posts on the Redistricting and Appropriations Subcommittee on Education.

He is a certified public accountant and received his accounting degree from Texas A & M University. He is a member of the Texas Conservative Coalition and lives in Dayton with his wife Nancy.
