John Frullo, who served as the former treasurer of the Lubbock County Republican Party for two primary election cycles, claimed the seat for HD-84 in the 2010 general election.

Frullo graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1984 with a degree in accounting. He worked as a certified public accountant for several years before he purchased a Midtown Printing. He was the former chairman of the MidAmerica region of the the Printing and Imaging Association and is currently a member of the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce board of directors.
