State Rep. Jim Jackson, a retired County Commissioner, serves House District 115 based in Carrolton. He was re-elected to a second two-year term in 2006.

Jackson, a Republican, serves on the House Judiciary and Civil Jurisprudence and Public Education committees.

He served as a Dallas County Commissioner from 1974 to 2004 and chaired the Texas Commission on Jail Standards from 2004 to 2005.

Jackson earned a B.A. from the University of North Texas in 1962.
