On Fox News Sunday, Gov. Greg Abbott and former U.S. Education Secretary Bill Bennett debated Common Core – the uniform academic standards overseen by the National Governors Association that Texas lawmakers have refused to use. Abbott said governors in states that have implemented Common Core are now "running from it like a house on fire."
