Davis Gets the Taiwanese Animation Treatment

Nobody does the news quite like Taiwan-based Next Media Animation, whose latest storyline is Fort Worth Democratic state Sen. Wendy Davis' filibuster of a bill that would have added restrictions on abortion.
As Next Media Animation frames it, Davis — clad in a Superwoman costume and with the help of the ghost of former Texas Gov. Ann Richards — defeated the giant fire-breathing robot dinosaur that was Senate Bill 5, which apparently arose out of fear of the same demographic trends that would turn a "Jefferson Davis Elementary School" into "The Jeffersons Elementary School."
Tuesday night's events were certainly unlike anything in the recent memories of Senate observers, but it's safe to say that this portrayal is something else entirely.
The same company has previously created animations of stories of other Texas politicians, including Gov. Rick Perry and former Congressman Ron Paul.
