Beyoncé Music Removed From Bush Video
George P. Bush's "Halo" has disappeared.
The video announcing Bush's run for Texas land commissioner on Wednesday was set to a familiar tune: the back-track to Beyoncé's hit 2009 single "Halo." The campaign's decision to use music from a prominent supporter of President Obama's, someone who sang at his inauguration, attracted media attention from around the country.
As of Thursday morning, that video was no longer publicly available on YouTube; it's now "private." And on Bush's campaign website, the video was swapped out overnight with one featuring similar, but markedly different, music.

When is the GOP going to learn that most musicians don't want their music played for any Republican campaign?

No more Bush's.

The is such a thing as Permissions and Copyright laws. Don't the GOPs know you can't just use something without ASKING. Seems this happens a lot, there are people who are talented and work hard for their money who deserve respect.

The real question is if there is a Texas Republican with the cojones and moxy of Ted Cruz to take this kid on, because he doe not have a clue. Somebody could end up being Land Commissioner - just the way Ted Cruz became Senator - if they just have the gumption to run.

And soooo the drama begins - for this Bush... His father was the Governor of FL - why would he come run for office in Texas???

Why do GOP pols steal tunes?? Just go rip one off from Ted Nugent, and see if he holds fire...

When will they realize that rational thinking American's do not want any more of the Bush family members in government. Let them go to work on pig farms instead.

"... similar, but markedly different, music." Huh?

If any Bush wants to serve his/her country by becoming a public servant, let 'em start by fending off their enemies from the Middle East and return our soldiers home in their place and stead.

NO more Bush!

These types of articles would disappear if only the republican person who picks the music would stop being stupid and stop picking from artists who PUBLICLY and OPENLY support the President. The only thing it does is harm the candidate. Mr. Bush may be a good man. I don't know. I really haven't read enough about him. Right NOW all I know is he is George Bush's nephew. (TARP, the Patriot Act, NO WMD in Iraq, 1000's of dead soldiers for no other reason than a lie. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED GEORGE) I am not going to judge him on that. He just might be the right guy for the job. It isn't as if he could start a shooting war with Oklahoma as Land Commissioner, COULD HE?

And when is the last time someone running for Land Commissioner used background music when announcing?

Not another Bush...ever. When will the GOP stop cramming these idiots down our throats...This is what's ruining the Republican party.
Geo W. Bush's second term was a disaster in spite of the idiots who blindly voted for him.
There are good qualified Republican candidates in Texas so let's see some. This idiot as land commissioner? OMG. They can't get ahead in Florida so they're going to crash Texas? Go home little boy....

The halo quickly faded, yet the scent of "P" lingered around the campaign.
One wonders- will P uphold or deny the legacy of his namesake, his great-grandfather Prescott Sheldon Bush, the treasurer of the first national campaign of Planned Parenthood?
Or will P curry favor from the Teabaggers, and have his suit cut from their cloth?
A P-bagger for Texas!
