Video: Cruz Rallies for Gun Rights in Leander
U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, told workers at LaRue Tactical — a firearms manufacturer north of Austin — that "gun control policies do not work." As a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee and a ranking member on its Subcommittee on the Constitution, he said the Obama administration should leave the Bill of Rights alone.

Nothing sells guns more than the threat of gun control. We are the most armed society in history. I don't think anyone will mess with Texas. No wonder people are polite in the south, everyone is packing.

Waco Liberal, you might go try to tell that to Chicago.

1. Where there are more guns there is more homicide.
2. Across high-income nations, more guns = more homicide.
3. Across states, more guns = more homicide.

Arrogant, confrontational and polarizing Ted Cruz is over-stepping and subjugating his authority while protecting his access to money for his next run for office. Incompetent and inept on every level, he should never have been voted into office. Cruz crawls with the other TEA-quest-traitors and combative parasites who protect the super rich from paying their fair share of taxes. American capitalism as currently practiced clearly redistributes income upward. According to Nobel laureate Joseph Stiglitz, the richest 1 percent of Americans now hold 25 percent of the country's wealth. The total income share for the 1 percent has jumped more in the U.S. than in any other major Western country since 1960, according to new research by Thomas Piketty and Emmanuel Saez. The top 1 percent's share of income dipped in some European countries and increased by up to 4 percentages elsewhere, but in the good old U.S., land of opportunity, it soared over 9 percentage points. Pound the pavement with your buddies and talk it up everywhere you go. 2014 and 2016 will be critical in getting America back from the TEA-quest-traitors and combative parasites who protect the super rich from paying their fair share of taxes. You can't rely on others to do the job - You will have to get involved! The TEA party fanatics know this and they will be out in force both election cycles. It is at the local and state level where the greatest power and control is exerted. "Sweep your state Capital CLEAN....in 2014" "Sweep the House CLEAN....in 2014" "Sweep the Senate CLEAN....in 2014"

David, you'll just confuse pro gun people with the facts. They only want the "facts" the NRA and idiots like Cruz provide.

This is what Republicans should be. Take a long look at the freshman senator from Texas — Ted Cruz. He’s giving the Democrats and RINOs a dose of what it means to go to Washington and do what you said you would do when you asked people to vote for you.
Cruz took an oath to govern in terms of the Constitution.
Here’s what he said in an email interview after coming down with a case of laryngitis he most likely got from taking on the Democrats:
“I made promises to the people of Texas that I would come to Washington to shake up the status quo. That is what I intend to do, and it is what I have done in every way possible in the responsibilities that have been granted to me.”
The Senate has become a gentleman’s club with most Republicans serving meals and drinks to the Democrats hoping for a few tips at the end of the day. All they get is the back of their political hand.

Cruz needs all the support we can muster. We need a list of rinos who fight against Cruz - not to threaten violence, just for the simple reason that I and a lot more people will work to send this hecklers home for a permanent vacation next election. We need little folks with morality, a big stick, and a backbone to light a fire under corruption! THANKS, MR. CRUZ!!!

Cruz was born in Canada and his father is from Cuba ; better than kenya .

@Rudy Gonzales
Get over yourself. He's only a senator. And an exceptional one at that!! At least we know a little about him, where he was born, who his real father is, what's on his passport and college records, and that he is an American first, politician second. Besides, Cruz earned his degree, it wasn't honorary. No matter how much obama spends, he'll still never be natural born according to the US Constitution. And when did he declare his candidacy for prez?

Every one of these senators goes to Washington and comes out a millionaire. He's pandering to the NRA base to get richer. The sheeple support him thinking he's one of them. Seems like some people's idea of governing is doing absolutely nothing but acting out.

Cruz's biggest advantage is that 73% of Americans DO NOT trust the U.S. federal government...according to the most recent Pew Research poll. Andy Cohut, Pew president, said on PBS Newshour that 73% distrusting the federal government is unprecedented.
So Cruz can rant and rave against the feds and crony-capitalist/crony-unionist/crony-welfarist politicians all he wants...because he speaks-out-loud for 73% of Americans.
I voted for Cruz because I am one of those 73% who did not want to send crony-capitalist David Dewhurst to Washington so he could grow our federal debt even more...just like Kaye Bailey Hutchison did. Did you know that the federal debt was $4 Trillion when Kaye Bailey Hutchison was first elected senator in 1993...and that she retired in 2012, leaving us with a federal debt of $16 Trillion. She was complicit in profligate spending that increased federal debt 300%. No wonder she lost to Rick Perry by 25 points in 2010.
