All Texans should not be taxed for the actions of the NRARobots. If they want to ruin our schools with guns and student killings, then they need to pay for it. Tax gun owners, bullet/gun manufacturers to do business in Texas, The NRA members, the gun retailers, to pay for this intrusion of everyones schools.

I couldn't agree more with Jerry Patterson. I will contine to vote against any politician who dons his jackboots and goose steps on my 2nd amendment rights. Patterson raises a very legitimate point about the 1st amendment, the news media and entertainment industry indeed contributes to violence and there should be legislative action to stop it. Violent vidio games and movies desensitize our youth to violence. Producers of this alledged intertainment should be subject to criminal penalities if their product leads to violence. Journalists who create copy cat killers should be imprisoned. The 2nd amendment gives me the right to own a gun but not to murder. The first amendment gives the media and entertainment industry the right to print what they want but they should not have the right to create murderers. They should be criminally and civilly liable for what they print just as gun owners are responsible for what they do. Write your legislator, we need new legislation to regulate the first amendment. It should be easier to sue the news media for lying, for example ABC rigged an auto gas tank with an explosive devise to claim that a certain car would explode in a wreck, CBS tried to rig a presidental election with forged documents, NBC tried to protray George Zimmerman as a racist with edited 911 tapes when in fact he was merely responding to a question from the police dispatcher.
