Chicken hawks! Cronyn and Cruz aren't even worthy to even shine Kerry's shoes.
Jackie L. Taylor via Texas Tribune on Facebook
Why does that not suprise me?
Austin Kaplan via Texas Tribune on Facebook
It's because of those convincing swift boat ads of a few years back, isn't it? Those sure were filled with truthiness.
Sandy Burton via Texas Tribune on Facebook
Y'all remember this when it's time to vote for senators again. These assholes don't represent any of the sane people in this state.
Jason Kendall via Texas Tribune on Facebook

Steven Felfe via Texas Tribune on Facebook

Just had to be ornery and try and keep the country divided instead of working together!
Mary Morrison via Texas Tribune on Facebook
They are utter disgraces and bring nothing but shame to the state. Of course, they never served in the military. They aren't fit to carry John Kerry's briefcase.

Kerry is an honorable man and would have been a far sight better that the idiot who beat him in the presidential race. Cruz and Cornyn are living down to their TEA Party reputation.
Karen Spivey-Cummings via Texas Tribune on Facebook
All three of them need to go. They are an embarrassment to Texas.
Josie Corning via Texas Tribune on Facebook
It becomes more & more embarrassing to be a Texan. Read Gail Collins' book AS TEXAS GOES, and at least you'll be able to laugh about it.

When I read most of the posts above, it is another hard reminder of why I could NEVER vote for another Democrat. No matter what your your dear Democrat politicians have done to our beloved United States, you keep propping them up and singing their praises. John Kerry is just as big a major embarrassment as the 2000 Democratic nominee Buffoon Al Gore is, and thats why these men from Texas voted against him.
John Kerry - just another Socialist.
At least Cornyn and Cruz have the guts to cast a no vote. Kerry the lurch doesn't deserve to be Sec of State. He lied about his service and what happened only to get recognition.
Good! Kerry as Secretary of State is like having SJL as Secretary of Homeland Security. I don't like Kerry's politics. I remember his testimony before the Senate regarding Viet Nam. He and Jane Fonda should have been deported to Indonesia .

I love the nut job swift boaters who still attack John Kerry on his Service record. Proof you can fool some of the people all of the time.
That our Senators decided to play politics and do the right thing is no surprise. Enjoy it while you can Senators, there is a political reality coming to your red state over the next few years. So, enjoy your bitter partisan rhetoric while someone still listens to your rhetoric.
Dale Curry
To quote our Governor, "oops", that should have been NOT do the right thing.

Has anyone noticed how Cornyn seems to have to out-cruz Ted Cruz these days? Feeling a little threatened by him John?
