Gun Control Debate Takes Mexico Into Account
In the recent debate about stricter gun control, some officials on both sides of the Rio Grande saw a sliver of hope — that such laws might curb the flow of illegal weapons over the United States’ southern border.
“I hope that whatever we are going to do in trying to protect our gun rights but at the same time regulate the legal ownership of weapons is going to have a component on guns that are being smuggled out of the country so easily now and causing the carnage,” said Alonzo Peña, the former deputy director of Immigrations and Customs ...

And NRA has spent much lobby $$$ making sure all border Gun shops are in all cities less than 20miles from border. They have made sure NO legislature has accepted a ATF leader nominated by President in 6years. they've made sure ATF has only 2400 Servicemen! There was 2400 in 1979! They've made sure they keep GOP legislatures in Southern States by changing districts to point states that voted majority Democrat, the GOP Representative still yet won. They've also got the law in forced that a person can be drunk and this be able to buy a firearm!! Sorry but we are gun owners, big hunters, watching wildlife program all time and the NRA does NOT represent us! We The People are smarter than that and can smell a rat any day!

Why doesn't the Obama administration and the Liberals confiscate all guns from the drug dealers, gang bangers, and criminals first and than see if the crime rates drop. It just seems not matter the crisis government always wants to take away the guns from law abiding people first. There were more people killed in South Chicago last year than a dozen Sandy Hook tragedies. Or how about the 40k people killed in Mexico how many were killed by the guns Obama and Holder allowed to be sold to the Cartels??? Yet the entire Fast and Furious scandal seems to be pushed aside to cover so many mistakes.

Just try taking one of those guns into Mexico and them finding it... You end up in a Mexican prison no questions asked. Mexico is very serious about this law as our 2nd Amendment rights continue to ruin their country...

Our Second Amendment destroying their country? More like the lack of a comparable law is what is preventing honest law abiding Mexicans from defending themselves. Mexican Citizens are powerless to stop criminals from running over them. Everyday criminals extort money and property , force ordinary Citizens to participate in their criminal endeavors and do far more damage than just the numbers of Mexicans killed,,,,, all because Mexicans cannot defend themselves. Average people in Mexico cannot accumulate any wealth or property through legal means and hope to keep it, some criminal will come and take it. As is said there " This is the way of the life."
They do not seem to have a problem with all the money that flows to Mexico from Illegal workers or from the drug trade only making superficial efforts to stop either one. Primarily it is their own citizens who are smuggling these weapons into Mexico as well as smuggling people and drugs into this country.
The right of a person to defend their life or property is fundamental and Mexicans are denied this right. Without the second amendment personal property rights mean nothing, and without the means to defend ones property , life or wealth , a person cannot achieve prosperity with relative safety and security. An unarmed person is subject to the will of the armed , whether it be the government or the individual. Throughout Central and South America this is normal, and wonder why these people cannot rise, become more prosperous and self reliant ? There really is no incentive to achieve , accumulate wealth and prosper if someone can just come along and take what you have worked for and there is nothing you can do about it.

A good start would be lock up Obama and Holder for selling arms to the Mexican mob so they could say look at all the American guns being sold to Mexicans illegally. Another would be secure our borders and make the punishment server if caught like forty years and make them serve every day of it NO early releases.
