Updated: Norwood Trial in Morton Murder Set for March
Updated Wednesday, Dec. 12, 6:15 p.m.:
The trial of Mark Alan Norwood, who is facing a capital murder charge in the 1986 death of Christine Morton, will take place on March 18, 2013 in Tom Green County, the defendant's lawyer, Russell Hunt Jr., confirmed on Wednesday. Norwood's lawyers last month asked the judge to delay the trial so that they could secure experts to review DNA evidence the state says links the former Bastrop dishwasher to Morton's beating death.

If Anderson is convicted of intentionally suppressing evidence that would have freed an innocent man then I hope his ass fries. At least then a shot across the bow will be fired as a warning to ALL prosecutors that WE HAVE LAWS in this state that are written for a reason, to allow FAIR and un partial trials to determine guilt or innocence. If he is found guilty and allowed to skate then once again Justice loses to political chicanery.
