Perry Keeps 2016 Door Open, Offers Advice to GOP
A couple of days after his onetime rival lost his bid for the White House, Gov. Rick Perry said he is keeping his options open for 2016.
Perry said Thursday it was still too early to make any decisions, noting that he had a busy legislative session looming in January. But, just like the day he dropped out of the 2012 race, the brash-talking Texas governor is keeping a toe in the presidential waters.
“I think we said the door was going to be left open, but there is a lot of work that has to be done,” Perry said ...

Perry doesn't appear to be paying attention to the exit polls.

Perry should run... off a bridge.

Yes! Rick Perry can run for president again, but first he has to win Texas! Perry's stand your ground on TEA-Republican's many tripping points is just the answer. Freedoms outlined in his speech are the same ones that tripped out the national voters in the severe thumping of Romney. Perry's use of the 10th Amendment to backup "States Right's" again to gain credibility. Could it be Romney grossly failed in his attempt due to Perry's involvement and support? This career politician points to his long term in the Governorship as part of his credentials, which is in reality confirmation of out-staying his welcome. Perry's tone is suspect at the very least. Maybe he's learned from Romney to side-step and dance "Gangnam Style" for the next trip to Oopsville!

Exit Door is the only door Rick Perry needs.

Perry, do us all a favor and climb into a hole some where.

Rick, if the door was left open don't let it hit you in the _ss on the way out. The only way he keeps winning is the democrats run someone worse. Remember almost half Texas wants him gone. Can't wait for the screwing we are going to get in the next legislative session

What are the values he wants on taxation and regulation? Seems that we need a bit more of both to keep the state and nation going forward.

I'm not a Texan, but I like Rick Perry a LOT, and think he can do some serious good for the United States from the big chair at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. That chair is still empty in my opinion. That 10th amendment stuff is serious and honest talk about the role of the central government to the states. If y'all don't want Mr. Perry down there, I'd sure be pleased if you passed him up to the national level.

values on taxation and regulationS???? You mean like NONE? Perry is a complete waste of space

I think the door was left shut in ricki's face. Poor thing, he still has no touch with reality. I say he should just ride off into the sunset. We can't take any more embarassment from him. 2016--I THINK NOT~!
JC DemocratofTejas
P.S. Jeffery---where do you live so we can save up plane fare for ricki? Thanks for the laugh. ROTFLMFAO

Yeah. That's it. The Republican nominee for president wasn't conservative enough. Nominate Perry and lose by a landslide to Hillary. Then, perhaps they may get the message.

Ah yes...one more thang: Shut the front (and back) door.
Puffed up like a little banty rooster. hahahahahahaha

GOP/TP dont own values. the majority of us have values. Some just show it instead of only talking it.

Perry will be 66 if he runs for president in 2016. He'll be too old, too conservative and carry too much baggage to be an effective GOP candidate. Even more than Romney, he'll have a lot of problems convincing minorities, women and young people to vote for him.
But if he's feeling like giving whoever runs in the Democratic slot a free pass to the White House, he should give it a go.
