The Fort Worth Star-Telegram's excellent investigative article by Gordon Dickson exposed the corruption at the North Texas Tollway Authority and Ms. Davis' involvement. Worth a read - how to get wealthy by gaming the system.
Having a client subject to your votes in the legislature is bad enough, but starting a minority law firm ( Newby Davis) to receive minority contracts from NTTA, while continuing to work with your regular law firm (Cantey Hanger), sets a whole new standard in corruption. But wait ... there's more, telling the Star-Telegram she doesn't see a problem makes it a comedy.
Texas needs a strong Democratic Party, but we won't get there by endorsing corruption.
