Sadler Working to Remind Voters of Former Influence
In 2002, state Rep. Paul Sadler of Henderson, was one of the most powerful Democrats in the Texas Legislature when he announced he was not running for re-election.
At the time, he was the chairman of the House Public Education Committee and a force that even the state’s governor had learned to be mindful of when it came to anything involving schools.
Ten years later, Sadler, 57, is the unequivocal underdog in his bid for U.S. Senate against Ted Cruz, a rising national star in the Republican Party. As he crisscrosses the state, Sadler is learning firsthand that ...

What a hack Paul Sadler was and apparently still is. This is the operative statement from your Sadler campaign missive: "a reputation as biting and at times arrogant in dealings with those with whom he did not agree." Apparently, this trait hasn't gotten any better since he left the lege. Recently, he commented that Ted Cruz "should go back to Canada where he was born." Ethnocentric nativism, anyone? Sadler's abrasive personality made and will continue to make many permanent enemies. For that reason alone, we don't need an abrasive loudmouth such as him in the US Senate. BTW, how did Sadler's "landmark" education reform work out? Hmmm, thought so.

Voters should remember Sadler is a liberal who favors banning some guns. His campaign has consisted of calling everyone who disagrees with him an extremist. He thinks calling Ted Cruz a Canadian is an issue. How ironic since Ted Cruz is a conservative who stands for the principles upon which this country was founded. He is far more an American than the Austin liberal Sadler who identifies with the Marxist Democrat party and campaigns by ranting, raving and whining.

Still it's a shame Texas was stolen from us by convicted felon Tom DeLay.

He didn't build that.

"I am the one who turned Texas schools into Democrat indoctrination centers and limited your power as parents to control what is being pumped into your child."

You're the one who is going to get HAMMERED by the statewide, resounding rejection of everything Democrat. You can thank Obama for that.

The Texas TEA-Republican party followed through with their confrontational desires voting Ted Cruz to the Senate. Texas TEA-Republicans will hold their noses when they vote in November as there is a huge difference between the moderate Romney and the staunchness of the fringe Cruz. Texas should remember what Texas has in Austin when they vote. It is high time for change: Politicians and Diapers should be changed regularly and often, for the same reason! - Jim Hightower.

Dave Mundy, you sure believe a lot of stuff that isn't true.

Paul Sadler was an excellent Chairman of the House Public Education Committee; no one has come close since. During his time, the focus was on educating children, not holding them hostage to political ideology. He was always balanced and used common sense. I wish he were back in the Texas Legislature, but failing that, he'd make a great US Senator.

Hey, Rudy; how long has Doggett served? We Tea Party types are rolling out a fair number of old-timers ourselves- and kept old-timer Dewhurst out of the Senate seat.
We be changing the diapers.

A vote for a democrat is a vote for Obama. Cruz is the man to get the job done

Well, based on the chants of "marxism, ethnocentric nativism, democrat indoctrination centers, blame Obama" that a few tparty people should stay on their meds. But since you have little in the way of fact to attack the man, go to your system. Scream some lies really loud. Call him a marxist. How pathetic your entire "movement" has become. Even if you fundamentally disagree with the man, Paul Sadler is a great Texan and strong advocate for education. He has spent years working on behalf of this state. And while you can oppose the man, when you slander him with such frivolous charges of ethnocentric nativism and marxism, you really do come across as at best not serious and at worst, not stable.

Me, Me, Me, I, I, I, My, My, My. Right. It's all about him; it's all about making him look good. interesting.

Mr. Santorum is putting you all on notice that if we do not join the Lunatic Fringe there is no future for this county. When this Jackass came to Texas he was hailed by thousands of people as the "New Messiah" The man who Texas really wanted to be President. See how low we have fallen??? Tea-Party is not a political organization... it is a disease.

This is Paul Sadlers record in our State government. This is who fools on this site call "a hack"
