Video: Texas Democratic Delegates Aim to Turn the Tide
At the Democratic National Convention, Texas Democratic delegates see reasons for hope in making gains in their home state, and they say enthusiasm hasn't waned for President Obama. Some delegates say they also want to hear reinvigorated messages of hope, looking for that "spark to relight the fire."

Wall Street billionaire Pete Peterson is bankrolling a national campaign to cut Social Security. The first in a series of “town meetings” is set for Friday at St. Anselm’s College in Manchester, N.H. Bernie will be there to make sure somebody tells the truth: that Social Security has not contributed one nickel to our deficit, has a $2.7 trillion surplus, and will be able to pay every penny owed to every eligible recipient for the next 21 years. Meanwhile, Bernie has called on President Obama to make clear his support for Social Security. “I do not believe that we should cut Social Security," Bernie said in a Senate floor speech this summer. "I would like to know, and I think the American people would like to know, if President Obama feels the same way.”

I was watching this beautiful white haired man making this speech last evening and thinking about how times flies and what a difference fifteen years make.
I remember Republicans making their usual attempts to sabotage & destroy this country back in the nineties... And trying to destroy this intelligent, , top of the line Democrat . Republican lawyer Kenneth Starr spend a hundred million taxpayers dollars gunning for Bill Clinton. I can't even begin to estimate the hours and hours of time spent on stupidity. Hate. and rage... Republicans have so much hate & rage, all the time. It is surprising that they do not disintegrate on the spot. And last night - there is Bill Clinton. Elegant, wise,, looking fit ,
bringing the audience to their feet with laughter and wise talk. Where is Kenn Starr? Sitting in a damp , moldy university in Texas still selling his far-right foolishness , now to uninterested students Then, there is Gingrich, the pious Gingrich, so extremely hostile to Clinton for diddling with a willing woman.. Now Gingrich is on his, what, third, fourth (?) wife and Clinton is still with his first, And Hillary Clinton is the most honored woman in this country and Bill Clinton is the most honored man.
