Last September, the Texas Transportation Commission voted to make Phil Wilson the new executive director of the Texas Department of Transportation.
The pick signaled the commissioners' desire to see a shift in the agency’s direction, as past executive directors had often been engineers promoted from within the agency. Meanwhile the Perry people get away with saying "the Trans Texas Corridor is dead", while promoting the same concept all over the State. TxDOT has zero credibility and it will take a new Governor to change this.
Did the Trib ask about "managed lanes from Georgetown to San Antonio"?
