Summer Camp Focuses on Fight Against Abortion
BRYAN — In a lodge at Messiah’s Ranch, a Christian retreat a few miles outside of town, about 20 teenagers sat cross-legged in a circle, talking about what it means to be a good listener.
The air conditioning struggled to keep up on the muggy, 95-degree day, but that did not dull the energy in the room as Laurie Stevens, a speech and debate coach, asked the group whom they sometimes found it difficult to listen to.
“Obama,” deadpanned one girl, setting off a round of giggles.
Stevens waited for another response.

More like teach them to reject everything Jesus said about loving everybody and giving everything you have to the poor and needy.

Meanwhile, the same people who put stuff like this together will scream about "indoctrination" being done by those who don't agree with them. Oh the irony.

Raising little GOP/Baggers more like it. Brainwashing comes earlier in life these days.

They're young. Here's hoping their friends will enlighten them and then they can turn all that activism training to the Lord's work.

American Taliban training to kill clinic workers

Pregnancy and STD rates are actually higher among evangelical youth than others because these kids are being taught birth control doesn't work and sex outside of marriage is 'dirty'. The adults in charge of this are no better than those who indoctrinate youth in the Middle East. When one of these kids hurts a worker or patient at a clinic watch how fast those in charge distance themselves.

I guess I'm just confused by the brainwashing comments. Most children are brought up with a belief about abortion and life, one way or another. You're either taught "Women's liberation" or "Protect the defenseless". How is it brainwashing to teach compassion among those of a certain belief? Would a pro-choice compassionate camp be called brainwashing?

Teaching respect for human life= "American Taliban" right, that makes sense. So proud of these young people standing up for the defenseless.
