Feds Defend Deportation Rates as Backlog Swells
A year after the Obama administration announced it would prioritize the government’s resources on criminals when selecting which illegal immigrants to deport, the backlog in immigration courts has swelled to new highs for Texas and the nation as a whole.
Immigration lawyers say the numbers show that the government is not following through on its directive and becoming more efficient with deportation proceedings, but federal officials say that the figures aren’t telling the whole story.

Typo? Editing error? The name of the agency is Immigration [singular] and Customs Enforcement, not "Immigrations..." Otherwise, a good article.

Why do they keep coming out with these astronomical numbers for building a wall? We seem to have millions of skilled construction workers available to do the work for $0.12 per hr. Build camps along the border and have these Illegal Aliens build the wall. As sections are completed send them to the Mexican side and close up the hole. Most Hispanics I know would have no problem with this. They do not like Illegal's any more than anyone else.

There no reason why prioritizing those to remove first means that illegal immigrants outside of the priorities still aren't subject to removal. Prioritizing simply means that you don't remove the latter at the expense of removing the former. But for any level of annual removals, which have remained relative constant since the end of the Bush administration, the more removals filled by the prioritized illegal immigrant population, the fewer removals there are of those not in that category.
