Updated, 10:20 p.m.:

Of course, if the U.S. Supreme Court rules on this in relation to other cases pending before it, Voter ID WILL be a reality. It is the DOJ on a fishing expedition, and even if given the info, would demand more, since they KNOW they can't win the actual ruling.

This is good news for the elderly, the poor, the citizens who would have to travel many miles to get to a DMV. This is what democracy should look like.

If the State of Texas believed in its case, they would be more forthcoming

This was Texas's Voter Suppression Act of 2011. With Republicans holding a super majority in the house they were trying to win elections for a decade or longer in advance, by rigging the system against students, the poor, minorities, the elderly, and anyone not in their pocket already. I have no problem with a picture I.D that is phased in and free but if you look at the new rules to get a Texas I.D. or driver's license, that went in to effect yesterday, there are more hurdles to surmount, documents like a birth certificate cost money and there is the trip to a D.P.S. office and not all rural counties even have one. Mine doesn't.

Looks like liberal democrats will try and cheat in Texas this year at the ballot box. Since a liberal judge has decided to help the liberal democrats cheat by holding up Voter ID. The people have spoken and want a fair election not a bunch of liberal democrats and black cheating at the ballet box. I wounder how many times the dead will vote and how many illegal aliens will vote. I say we run the liberal democrats the hell out of Texas sooner the better. Or maybe we will get a real judge that will uphold the laws. How can anyone object to the voter ID law when ID is paid for??? whats up NOW Cheating democrats.
Anyone but Obama and lying democrats!
